Maria was born April 30, 1936 in Buciumeni Jud. Galati, Romania, the daughter of the late Dumitru and Elena Furnica. She is the beloved wife of the late Mihai Iacob; loving mother of Gabi (Vasile) Stoica, Silviu (Angela) Iacob and Lidia (Ioan) Peicu; cherished grandmother of Michelle, Shannon, Sorin, Laura, Radu, Lili, Adi and Narcis and great-grandmother of many; dear sister of the late Sandel and Toader Furnica; adored aunt of many.
She was known as "Mama Mia", a mother to all and a great cook to many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 4-7PM and Sunday from 4-8PM with a Saracusta service at 7PM at Craciun Funeral Home, 14925 E. Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights, 44130. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday April 4, 2022 at 10AM at St. Mary's Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, 3256 Warren Rd., Cleveland with committal services following at Lakewood Park Cemetery.
