Marlene “Lil’ Fox” Kinsey, age 87, of Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 26th in Cleveland, Ohio. Born to Ruth and Adam Kinsey in Flint, Michigan, Marlene graduated from Turtle Creek High School outside Pittsburgh in 1956 (go Steelers!). Marlene worked a variety of jobs in doctor’s offices and bookkeeping before finding her passion for golf. Visitors to North Olmsted Golf Course and the Cleveland Metroparks may remember Marlene’s infamous Moonlight Golf or Steelers-Browns Outings in the 1990’s and 2000’s.
Predeceased by her brother Thomas Kinsey. Survived by her sister Marilyn (Bill) Jaluvka (ne Kinsey); four children Michelle (Jason) Templar (ne Brown), Adrienne (Doug) Austin (ne Brown), Jen Zahorchak (Gregg Van Deusen) and Mike (Cindy) Zahorchak; twelve grandchildren LeRoy Thomas, Nick Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Shelbie (Thomas) Gallagher, Jack Austin, Jeff Austin, Michael Zahorchak, Cort Zahorchak, Riley Zahorchak, Wren Van Deusen, Luna Van Deusen, Otis Van Deusen; and six great grandchildren Aydan Thomas, Cassia Thomas, Eve Thomas, Logan Thomas, Mitchell Thomas, and Emma Austin.
We’re sure Marlene is already playing a round of golf or dealing a game of cards in the afterlife with her many dear friends and beloved pets who’ve gone before her.
