It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marsha Jean Tamayo, a devoted widow, loving mother figure, and loving family member to a large family. Marsha lived a full life rooted in strength, compassion, and joy, touching everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Marsha was born in Bellevue, Ohio, to Robert Ehrhardt and Grace Ehrhardt. She graduated from Berea-Midpark High School, where she proudly served as a majorette, showcasing the spirit and grace that would define her throughout her years.
She found deep happiness in simple pleasures: beautiful sunny days, the rhythm of music and dancing, stylish fashion, and her lifelong love for animals. Vacations by the ocean were especially meaningful to her. She cherished the peace and beauty of the waves and sand.
For over 25 years, Marsha worked as a highly respected legal secretary. Known for her professionalism, kindness, and sharp attention to detail, she earned the admiration and friendship of her colleagues.
Marsha was the loving wife of Ramon Tamayo, who predeceased her in 1998. She remained a dedicated and caring widow, pouring her heart into her family. She was a wonderful mother figure who provided unconditional love and support throughout her life. She also embraced her role as stepmother to eight children and step-grandmother to many more, offering warmth, wisdom, and a welcoming heart to her entire family.
Those who knew Marsha will remember her as a strong, caring, and compassionate woman who faced life with resilience and grace. Her laughter, her sense of style, and her gentle presence will be profoundly missed.
She is survived by her loved ones, her children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she brightened.
In honor of Marsha’s love for sunshine and the sea, may we remember her on bright, beautiful days and carry forward the light and love she shared so generously.
Rest in peace. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to a service celebrating Marsha’s life on Monday, June 8, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. at A. Ripepi & Sons Funeral Home, 18149 Bagley Rd. Middleburg Heights, OH 44130.
