Mary E. Floriea

Mary E. Floriea (née Stewart) age 90, entered into rest Sunday December 20, 2020. Daughter to the late John S. and Irene (née Bottrell) Stewart and was born September 23,1930. Beloved wife of the late Ernest F. Floriea, Jr. She is survived by children John Floriea (Wendy) and Katherine Braquet (Olivier), Grandmother to: Jake Floriea, Nina Braquet, Luke Floriea, Paige Floriea and Christian Braquet. Mary was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School (1948). She graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a degree in silversmithing and jewelry design in 1955. Her work was accepted and shown in the May Show at the Cleveland Museum of Art. She was a very active member of St. John Bosco Church from 1963 (founding member)-2020. There she taught PSR, formed a Bible school, helped with speech therapy, ran the playground recess, worked BINGO, wrote for the newspaper and so much more! She loved horseback riding and spending time at Lakeside with family and friends. One favorite activity of hers was spending time with her friends in the “Lunch Bunch”. Mary loved spending every moment laughing and sharing memories with family and friends.

A PRIVATE Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Queen of the Apostle Church and a PRIVATE interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Mary’s life with friends and family at St. John Bosco Church will be announced sometime during the summer of 2021.
