He was born in Cleveland, the beloved son of Randy and Helen (nee Zak) Hayne. Matthew is the loving partner of 20 years to Crystal "Catt" Thompson; dear brother of James Phelps (deceased), Eric (Jannie) Morgan and Tiffany Hayne; adored uncle of Brandon and Samantha Morgan and Zachary and Ginger Phelps; cherished nephew, cousin and friend of many.
Matt was an avid baseball fan of the Cleveland Guardians, had a love for all animals, especially his cats Shadow, Cookie and Bass, and was very tech savvy.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 4PM-730PM with a funeral service at 730PM at Craciun Funeral Home, 14925 E. Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights, Ohio. He will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park with private services.
