LOEDE, Matthew Steven, age 46, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

Beloved husband of Shanna M (nee Richards); loving son of Russell E. and Carol (nee Enderlein) Loede; brother of John (Terri), Russell (MaryAnn), and Michael (Kimberly); uncle of Darlene, Russell, Amanda, Jessica, Ryan, Jason, Emily, and Elyssa; great uncle of Damien; Son in law of Denise Dunmire (Sean); nephew and friend of many; dear companion of his dog Otto. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be forwarded in Matthew’s name to the Cleveland Baptist Church.

Matt was a well respected member of the Cleveland Media for 28 years, covering the Indians, Browns, and Cavs. He was always willing to take new broadcast students under his wing and encourage them to keep striving for their dreams. He was a diehard Pittsburg Stealers fan, avid runner, disc golf enthusiast, and 4th degree black belt. Matt was a man of deep faith, living his life out loud for his Lord and Savior. He never knew a stranger who didn’t quickly call him friend. His family was always his first priority. He and his wife had the kind of love that inspires stories to be written. He was funny, kind, humble and loyal. To know Matt was to love him and he will be missed deeply.

Come celebrate Matt’s life Tuesday, October 5, in the Cleveland Baptist Church, 4431 Tiedeman Rd., Brooklyn, OH from 10am to time of service at 12noon. We invite everyone to wear a representation of their favorite sports team in Matts honor.

Our nephew Matthew was one of the most loving men of all time! He connected with people so dynamically that’s everything immediately felt like he was longtime friend; whenever we visited Cleveland, he took time to engage his Older cousins (John & his son Dylan, Becky, Steve & Amy, & extended family), showing off the sites of Cleveland or Working on an opportunity to see the Indians play. We loved getting to know His beautiful wife Shanna too. Matt especially impressed us with his genuine love for our Lord Jesus ! He boldly and winsomely praised God for being his source of Strength day by day. No wonder he blessed so many lives- including ours. Love forever from Aunt Bev & Uncle Gene (Minnesota )
