Michelle Jefferson

Michelle L. Jefferson (née Errigo), age 61, passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 after a long-fought battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Karl Jefferson, Jr. Loving mother of Billy Steere (Erin), Jesse Dickens (Natalie), Frances Fernandez (Alec, Sr.) and Kyra Jefferson (AJ). Cherished Nana of Autumn, Summer, Dominic, Hunter, Lincoln, Francisco, Alec Jr., Amila, Carson, Enzo, and Navi. Dearest daughter of the late Carmen and Nancy Basile. Dear sister of Nancy Corrao (Ron), Kimmy Wentz (Mark), Nancy O’Connor (Tim), David Basile (Kim), and the late Margie Errigo, Charles Basile (Gail), and Angela Buczek (Bob). Best friend to her dog, Domino. Beloved aunt, cousin, and loyal friend to so many whose lives were made brighter simply by knowing her.

She was a beautiful little character — someone you remembered after being introduced. Big hair, a big smile, and Louis Vuitton were her signature style. She loved to throw a party, and the gathering of family and friends in her home gave her the greatest sense of joy, always keeping her family as the focal point. And when there wasn’t a party to plan or a phone call to make, you could find her on the back of Karl’s Harley, tearing up the Midwest. She was tough but extremely generous to those she loved, helping those in need at the slightest sign of trouble. She carried herself with grace, resilience, and quiet strength in the face of what ailed her, in her words, never giving her illness life.

She was surrounded by friends and family in her final days. Everyone who came to visit was greeted with a gesture of love. Whether it be some words, a smirk, a dance, a wave, or a middle finger, she made everyone smile and laugh. Her closest family was beside her in those final moments, making sure she was never alone. She will be profoundly missed, but her presence will remain with us forever and always.

Her parting wish was that we honor her by throwing a party, so please join us at Brew Garden (16555 Southpark Center, Strongsville, OH 44136) on March 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to celebrate her life. We welcome all friends and family to share stories and pictures of Michelle. You may send flowers and cards to Brew Garden, but please have them delivered between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. for receiving and setup. Arrangements entrusted to A.
