Devoted wife of 64 years to the late Joseph, loving mother of David (Kathy), Michael, and Daniel, dearest grandmother of Sarah (fiance Heath) and Adam, and dear sister in law of Carl (deceased) (Irene "Mick") Imbrigiotta, Nick (Georgina) Imbrigiotta (both deceased), Phil (Nancy) Imbrigiotta (both deceased), Bob (deceased) (Marlene) Imbrigiotta, and Fran (Ray) Lavalle, aunt, cousin and dear friend of many.
She was born an only child but through her marriage found herself surrounded by sister in laws, cousins and nieces who were a constant in her life and a rich source of many memories, celebrations and game nights.
Being a very creative and talented person, Nancy found time, even as a busy mother of three, to outfit her sons in clothes she expertly sewed herself. Her lifetime interest in sewing led her to become an active member of the American Sewing Guild where she held several positions and was very well liked and respected. Nancy was a very good piano player. She enjoyed tending to flowers in her yard and growing vegetables for home cooked meals. Her family always looked forward to holiday meals at her home, especially the delicious gravy she made. She also like to bake, and her pies were especially appreciated by her family.
After retiring from the bank where she worked full-time, she and Joe traveled extensively to Hawaii and on cruises in Europe, to the Panama Canal, around the Cape Horn in South America and many trips to the Caribbean.
She was a loving and active grandmother, finding joy in every scrabble game, every school concert, birthday and graduation. Her grandchildren were often seen in perfect hand-sewn outfits and their beds were laid with beautiful and colorful quilts that she made.
As a person, Nancy had a kind, generous and loving heart. She was a great listener and always had time for family and friends. Her many beloved furry friends, including Rosie and Riley, knew she had a special place in her heart for them.
