Nancy P. Spehar, 80, of Medina, passed away October 17, 2019 with her family by her side.

She was born in Cleveland, the daughter of the late William Dennis and Teresa Tinnaro Dennis. She is the beloved wife of Stephen G. Spehar; loving mother of Stephen Jr. (Christina), Scott, David (Jennifer) and Shannon (Scott, deceased) Cooley; cherished grandmother of Kathleen (Joseph) Heckert, Christopher Spehar (Katrina Merkle), Desiree Spehar, Nicholas Spehar, David Spehar Jr. (Alexa Pettier), Dominique Spehar, Abigail Reeder, Allison Reeder, Charlie Cooley (Jacob Frederick), James Cooley (Macy McBrien), Matthew Cooley, Olivia Cooley and Scott Cooley, Jr.; adored great-grandmother of Elijah, Emmalynn, Eleanor, Coleman, Aurora, Opal and Wesley; dear sister of Luanna Francis (deceased) and Dianna (Richard) Brogan; loving aunt of many.

Nancy was a hardworking woman who took on an array of different jobs; a flight attendant, a receptionist, a Sunday school teacher, and what she was probably best known for, a baker. She made many cakes that appeared at weddings, christenings, and birthdays. The job that she took on which would leave the biggest impression however, was that of a wife and mother. Her strong will and determination to achieve whatever goals she had without compromising her morals was taught and passed down to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also unwittingly taught those around her to love with all your heart and spread that love onto everyone. Her great love with her husband Stephen, inspired all that got to witness it. Many would say they have never seen any love that true, and it was impossible not to be entranced by their connection after just minutes of experiencing it. God decided it was time to call one of his most beautiful creations home, but she will never be forgotten. Her boundless beauty, grace, determination, and love is something that will not fade. Nancy touched the souls of everyone she met, and left an imprint that will last an eternity.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 4PM-8PM at the Craciun Funeral Home, 14925 E. Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights, where funeral services will be celebrated on Friday at 11AM. Committal services to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve Contributions, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland 44110

Remembering Aunt Nancy.

Aunt Nancy is my Godmother
Even though she is gone she will always be
She could make some really great cake and chicken and dumplings
And on that you can guarantee.
Her birthday is August 5th
Which is only two days away from mine
And when I’d get that birthday card
Her handwriting was perfect on every line.
I remember staying at the Strongsville home
With collector beer cans lining up the basement
Those were some really fun memories at that house
That there can be no replacement.
She was always so welcoming
Whether it be her Ohio or Ocala home
And everything was so neat and clean
You could go over it with a fine-tooth comb.
I have some favorite pictures, like my baptism with her holding me
Who would have known when I grew up
We would be sharing funny emails and jokes
For all the world to see.
Uncle Steve I pray for you
Because most of your life it was with her you did share
And for Stevie, Scotty, David, and Shannon
You will always be in my prayers.

I feel so fortunate that I was able to have the experience of my aunt Nancy's love. I could always tell her everything and she always gave me an honest love. I loved how Nancy and mom would be on the sofa talking with each other with the TV on and Nick and Steve talking but it was like they were the only two in the room. She was a good friend to mom and a wonderful aunt to me. Everything she made (cooked) was so good and "the best" to me. She gave me clothes and made papa his favorite cream peas. I'm so fortunate to have experienced my aunts love. We missed her when she moved back to Ohio and we miss her still. Thank you Nancy, you were deeply loved and appreciated.

We where neighbors living in Strongsville
All us kids grew up together , it takes a village with all of us running around. Mrs. Spehar was one of the best mom's ever. So many good memories but as life took us all many places we always have that childhood! Thank you Mrs. Spehar for watching us then and now where you can see us all once again. God bless.
