BARNETT NATHAN A. BARNETT, age 43. Loving son of Candace (nee Mancuso) and the late Kevin. Dearest brother of Corey (Lisa) and the late Zachary. Cherished uncle of John, Anthony and Sam. Dear nephew of Debi Morgan, Cynthia Zemon, Tracy Wilton, Kim and James Barnett, Laurabeth Sagramsingh. Also survived by cousins James Morgan, David Zemon, Tim Wilton, Chelsea Wilton and many dear friends. Nathan loved music and it was an important part of his life. He went from playing air guitar as a youngster to being an accomplished guitarist-singer-songwriter. His musical influences were Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. He was in many local bands throughout his life, most notably Public Execution, Dana Sixty and Scissor. He graduated from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida with a degree in Recording Engineering and Sound for Motion Pictures. He loved working at Rock Capital Sound (RCS) where he was rapidly advancing towards his dream of running live sound. An avid sports fan, he loved his Cleveland teams and especially enjoyed attending games and talking sports with his nephews John, Anthony and Sam. He had an extremely close relationship with them and they spent many hours also talking about Star Wars and superheroes. Ever the artist, he enjoyed working with his Aunt Cindi in her decorative art business, and he was extremely proud of his cousin David's accomplishment as a jazz trumpeter. Despite a 12 year age difference, they continued to encourage and inspire each other in their musical endeavors. Aside from the love and support of his family, he shared an especially close bond with friends Claudia D'Atellis, Sam Sidoti and Eric Baker. Nathan was a gentle soul who will truly be missed by all who knew him.The family suggests contributions to the Nathan Barnett Benevolent Fund, c/o any Key Bank branch. Funeral services Friday June 9, 2017 at the funeral home 8:00 PM. The family will receive friends FRIDAY 5 - 8 PM at the A.
