Patricia A. McCarthy

Patricia McCarthy (née Sheridan), age 95, of Brook Park, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 16 2026. Beloved wife of the late Robert Walsh (1974) and Donald McCarthy (1989). Loving mother of Mary Burkhardt (Norm), Terry Walsh (Anne), Kevin Walsh (Gerri), Brian Walsh (Karen), Eileen Calvert. Stepmother of Maureen Dyko, Kathleen Lamparyk (deceased), Tim McCarthy and Michael McCarthy. Dearest grandmother of 22 and great grandmother of 28. Daughter of the late John and Molly Sheridan. Sister to the late Mary Funderwhite (Jim), Katherine Chlam (Nick), Rita Frank (Carl), Margaret Whitticar (Don) Eugene Sheridan (Pauline), Jim Sheridan (Betty). Aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.

Pat loved anything that brought family together. A birthday, an anniversary, a cup of coffee with a friend to catch up on life. She also liked donating her time as an Eucharistic Minister at Sunday mass and also bringing communion to the homebound. She had a devotion to the Blessed Mother and could often be found saying the rosary. She also loved a good book. It wasn’t uncommon to stop over and find her nose buried in a mystery novel. She was always someone who shared. You could bring a friend home and know there would always be room at the table for one more.

While her family mourns her passing, we also celebrate the remarkable life she lived. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and treasured memories and devotion to those she cherished. Though she will be deeply missed, her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at St. John Bosco Church, 6480 Pearl Rd., Parma Heights. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH Interment Holy Cross Cemetery
