Rev. Dennis Robert O'Grady

Dennis was born in Cleveland, Ohio on the Fourth of July in 1933. He graduated from Strongsville High School in 1951. In the fall of that same year, he enrolled in the seminary. Dennis was ordained a Catholic Priest on May 20, 1961 and served the Cleveland Diocese at the following parishes; St. Vincent in Akron, Our Lady of Lourdes on Cleveland’s east side, and St. Michael the Archangel in Cleveland. He served as the pastor of St. Michael’s from 1980 until his retirement in 2003. After retirement, Dennis continued to serve the Lord for many years at the Holy Family Home Health Care & Hospice and several parishes as a visiting priest.

Dennis will be greatly missed by his family. He was a devoted son of Robert and Grayce O’Grady (both deceased). A loving brother to Jim O’Grady; Karen Frederick (deceased); Kathy Sabo; and Betty Walker (deceased). Treasured uncle to Rick (Sherry) and Jim (Dawn) Frederick; Debbie (Mike Zillich); Patti (Pat Geyer); Cathy (Joe MacIvor) and Pam (Danny Liggett). Great uncle, Great-great uncle; cousin, and friend to many.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 6, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm at Craciun Funeral Home, 14925 Bagley Road in Middleburg Heights.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday July 7th at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 12700 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, Ohio, where Dennis celebrated his first Mass as a priest. (Please meet at Church) Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, Ohio.
