STRAUB RICHARD C. STRAUB SR., age 77. Berea Dairy Queen and Southwest Golf Center owner-operator for many years. Rich was a proud 1957 graduate of the St. Edward High School and member of their Hall of Fame. He was an amazing man, generous to all and inspired many young people to achieve greatness. Beloved husband of the late Norma (nee Kleem). Loving father of Loretta Cornely, Elizabeth Hajduk (James), Teresa and Richard Jr. (Shawn). Cherished grandfather of Colton Cornely, Richie III, Hannah Hajduk, Chloe Cornely, Joseph, Jimmy Hajduk and Faith. Dearest son of the late Charles and Loretta (nee Burkhardt). Dear brother of Charles (Kay) and Barbara Kakenmaster (Edward, deceased). Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. U.S. Airforce Veteran. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the St. Edward High School, 13500 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, OH 44107. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday August 24, 2016 St. Mary's Church, 250 Kraft Street at 10:00AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends TUESDAY 3 - 8 PM at the A.
