

Ricky Schlott, a devoted family man and a passionate sports enthusiast, passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 68. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1955, Ricky lived a fulfilling life dedicated to his loved ones and his cherished hobbies. He will be remembered for his kind heart, love for his family, and unwavering loyalty to his favorite sports teams The Cleveland Browns and Indians.
Beloved Husband of 43 years to Laura Schlott. Ricky is survived by his two children, Kevin Schlott (Shawna) and Kristina McWilliams (Craig), who brought immense joy and pride to his life. He adored his grandchildren, Jordan and Jameson, and cherished every moment spent with them.
Growing up, Ricky was surrounded by the love and support of his siblings. He leaves behind his brothers, Russ (Judy) and Roger (Barb). Ricky was preceded in death by his sister Rae Ann (Ken), who he held dear in his memories.
Ricky was a hardworking individual who dedicated many years to his profession as a steel mill machine operator. Through his work, he displayed diligence, skill, and a strong work ethic. His dedication and commitment served as an inspiration to those who knew him.
When Ricky wasn't at work, he could often be found pursuing his favorite pastimes. He had a passion for golfing and spent many enjoyable hours on the greens, honing his skills and relishing the camaraderie of fellow golf enthusiasts. Ricky also loved playing darts, where his competitive spirit shone through, and he embraced the challenge of aiming for the bullseye.
Beyond his sporting endeavors, Ricky found immense joy in caring for his beloved dogs, Mandi and Janelle. He treated them like family, providing them with endless love and affection.
Ricky had a love for the thrill of the open road and enjoyed both bicycling and motorcycles. These activities allowed him to feel a sense of freedom and adventure as he explored new places and soaked in the beauty of the world around him.
Ricky Schlott's memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, love, and zest for life will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who mourn his loss. He leaves behind a legacy of family, dedication, and the pursuit of happiness. Ricky will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Funeral Service Tuesday July 18, 2023 at the funeral home 6:00 PM. The family will receive friends TUESDAY EVENING 4 – 6 PM at the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
