Robert F Driscoll

Robert Francis Driscoll passed on August 17, 2026, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Marjorie Anne (deceased). Loving father of Kimberly Ann Driscoll and the late Robert William “Bobby” Driscoll. Dearest brother of Michael (deceased), Susan Levandowski (Richard, deceased), Patrick (Ann) and Martin (Sherry, deceased). Also survived by one grand-dog, Safari, and three grand-cats, Suti, Acacia, and Poppy, in addition to nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Robert was born on August 11, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio to Irma Dorothy (née Bendein) and George Timothy Driscoll, Jr. Robert graduated from West Technical High School in 1964 and worked at Sun Chemical for 44 years before retiring in 2009. He was drafted into the Vietnam War in 1966 and stationed in Germany. His work ethic was unparallelled, which is something that his children inherited.

Robert married his wife Marjorie on August 22, 1970, which was also his mother’s birthday, and they were married for 55 years. They did everything together, especially after they retired, and Robert described their relationship like being two ends of a tied string. Robert was with Marjorie when she died in 2025, as he was when his son Robert died in 2023. His love for them was unwavering.

Robert enjoyed traveling with his family, especially to Las Vegas. He was a huge fan of Nascar, horse racing, bowling, Cleveland sports, and Florida State University football. Watching the Noles win the National Championship at the Rose Bowl in 2013, was a true highlight of the sports fan that he was. He loved bowling with his own father throughout the years and then carried forward the bowling tradition with Bobby. They traveled to several tournaments with their bowling buddies. Not surprisingly, he was an excellent bowler, with three perfect games.

But most of all he will be remembered for his love of helping people. If you knew Robert (and Marjorie), you know they would have given those in need the shirts off their backs. No ask was too big or too small and many benefited from their generosity.

When Robert was diagnosed with lung cancer for a second time, he decided not to pursue treatment, one of the bravest decisions he made. In the month before his death, each day was met with strength, humor, and an appreciation for life. His daughter Kimberly and his nephew, Jeffrey, cared for him and he frequently called them his guardian angels, but really Robert was theirs. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate his life will be held at Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish, 6455 Engle Road, Brook Park, Ohio on Saturday August 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH)

The family will receive friends Friday August 21, 2026 from 5 - 8 PM at THE A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OHIO 44130 (WEST of I-71)
