Robert "Rob" L Penter

Rob Penter was a loving husband to Julie, with whom he shared 30 years of marriage, a proud father of Deena and Cory, and a loving Papa to his grandson Lincoln. Rob was an avid sports fan, he especially loved cheering on his Cleveland teams. Rob dedicated 30 years of hard work and loyalty to Gordon Food Service, where he built lasting relationships with coworkers. Outside of work, he enjoyed refereeing high school basketball, always striving toward his dream of officiating a state playoff game. He also loved spending weekends camping with close friends and up keeping his title as “HOA President” and relaxing with a good bourbon in hand. At home, Rob was a caring dog dad to his two labs, Tippy and Red, who rarely left his side. Rob’s love for his family, his commitment to his community, and his zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rob is survived by his wife, Julie (nee Reinhart); children, Deena and Cory; grandson, Lincoln; father, Robert "Bob" (Peggy) Penter and brother, David (Tammy). He was a devoted son-in-law of Randy and Janice Reinhart and brother-in-law to Laura (Albert) Bouchahine. He was an uncle, cousin and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Penter.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.

The family will receive friends on WEDNESDAY, September 24, 2025 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at THE A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OHIO 44130 (WEST of I-71).
