Steve and I were among the first to join the new Rock Steady Boxing class at Lifeworks in Middleburg Heights. Having recently been diagnosed with Parkinsons we both learned that exercise was the one thing that could slow the progression of this disease.  We became good friends and looked forward to seeing each other every week.  Steve was always friendly and in spite of PD he kept a good attitude.  Eventually he had to stop coming to class  because of an injury but I still saw him occasionally at the gym walking the track or just working out.  I will miss Steve and his support .   Bob Priest

Grew up with Steve and always will love and cherish him, and his family. Steve always had a smile and sense of humor and I loved making him laugh. A stellar son, husband and father. He will be missed but happy he is with the Lord and Im sure he will still be cheering on the Wolverines. God Bless

Heidi, Jack and family,

I am so so sorry.  Steve was one of those Reader’s Digest unforgettable characters. And a character he was. His intensity and moral compass were always on display as NATCA reps together. His sense of humor was incredible and his wry sardonic look waiting for you to get the joke was awesome. When I blew up my ACL he gave me some rehab tips since he’d blown out 3, even tho we all only have 2. I hadn’t seen him in years, and that is truly my loss. 

My deepest condolences,

Steve was as down to earth and friendly as anyone I’ve ever met. A favorite memory is when we went to Ireland and his number one thing to do was to sit in an Irish pub, listen to music, and experience the people.  A beer or two may have been consumed. You were a blessing to many.
Heartfelt condolences to the all of Steve’s family.

Been many decades since I last saw Steve but he was unforgettable...a Whitmer Panther through and through with such a sharp mind (makes sense that he became an Air Traffic Controller...he had the intensity and quickness to do that well).  Remembering all the wild times we spent together and particularly that last school year...man, we could have made a Netflix movie off of that.  Brings tears to my eyes to think that such a spunky lad is no longer with us.  My deepest condolences to his family, particularly Heidi and Jack, and my wish that his spirit be at peace.

Heidi and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked across the isle from Steve for years. He was an excellent controller and a good person. It's surreal to think about him being gone still so early in life. RIP friend.

Heidi and Jack, the first time I met Steve was on a basketball court. He was such a fierce competitor he wanted to fight me…fortunately that didn’t happen because I wouldn’t have stood a chance!  Later we became teammates in a 6 foot and under league.  He was a great teammate and a wonderful friend. My sincerest condolences to you both as he will be sorely missed.

To Heidi and son Jack my sincere condolences.  Steve was an awesome guy to know. He was an all around gentle giant in many ways. I loved his sense of humor at work as well as on a field of competition. Also to Steve’s family my condolences.  He will be missed by many. Rest in peace Steve

I have fond memories of Steve from my years working at Cleveland Center. He was a great guy to be around. My deepest condolences to Heidi, Jack and ALL of Steve's family and close friends.
