Victoria was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by courage, perseverance, independence, and an entrepreneurial spirit. After marrying at a young age, she immigrated to the United States from Hong Kong and began building a new life for herself and her family.
In her early years in America, Victoria worked as a waitress and seamstress before becoming an entrepreneur. During the 1960s and 1970s, she operated a bean sprout growing and delivery business that served the Cleveland area. She later owned and operated one of the few Chinese restaurants on Cleveland’s near West Side during the 1970s and 1980s.
Through her determination and hard work, Victoria built a successful business that allowed her to retire at the age of 40. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling and embracing life on her own terms. She also had a passion for horse racing and was remarkably successful at the track, earning winnings in the six-figure range.
Above all, Victoria was a devoted mother who raised her family while working tirelessly to build a better life for those she loved. Her journey from Hong Kong to Cleveland, and the life she created through her own determination and resilience, was truly extraordinary. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, independence, hard work, and love that will continue to live on through her family and all those who knew her.
