Virginia Galbincea

Virginia Galbincea (nee Budak), 91, of Fairview Park, passed away August 23, 2019.

She was born in Cleveland, the daughter of the late John and Victoria (nee Carton) Budak. Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Galbincea, II, who passed away July 30, 2008; devoted mother of Patrick, III (Barbara), Victoria (Elmer) Addison, Michael (Stephanie) and John (Laurie); cherished grandmother of Kristin (Nick) Watkins, Jennifer Addison, Michael (Kate) Galbincea, Nicole McKinney, Brandon (Rachel) McKinney, Rebecca (Jon) LeJeune, Joshua (Stephanie) Galbincea and Colette Galbincea; adored great grandmother of seven; dear sister of the late John (Alice) Budak, Rencie (John) Ghidiu, George (Mary) Budak and Andrew (LaVerne) Budak; loving aunt of many.

Virginia never met a stranger and was a dear friend of many. She was known as the “Queen of the coffee hour” at her complex where her kindness and love radiated. She had a strong faith in God and was a member of St. Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 3PM-7PM with the Saracusta Service at 6PM at the Craciun Funeral Home, 14925 E. Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights 44130. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, 3256 Warren Rd., Cleveland 44111 on Saturday at 10AM. Committal services to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted. Memorials in Virginia’s name may be made to St. Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral.

We were saddened to learn about Virginia’s passing. It brought back many happy memories of our families friendship over many years...the Family get togethers, the social activities at St. Mary’s over the years, the many family weddings we shared.....she was always so happy and upbeat. She was a truly lovely lady and joy to be with. She will be missed.....
