Winfried Berner

He was born on May 24, 1942 to the late Adolf and Hilda Berner in Prussia, Germany. Beloved sister to Ruth Schneider (the late Alfred), Christel Krauss, Heidi Plamper and the late Irmgard Kalkhof (the late Carl). Cherished Uncle to Adolf Schneider, Diane Link (Charles), Stephen Kalkhof (Anita), Rainer Plamper (Jill), Monica Shaheen (Sy), the late Dieter Plamper and Marc Plamper. Loving Companion to his Miniature Poodle, Jeffrey III.

Fred immigrated to the United States in 1957 and later obtained his citizenship. He was a Jeweler by trade and was also an avid photographer, nature lover, hunter and tennis player, winning many trophies. He was the fun Uncle and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life for Fred will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Craciun Funeral Home, 14925 E Bagley Rd, Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
