Nancy,  We were looking for Eddie's obituary and saw Corbans.  I was very surprised because I remember Corban from back in the 60's.  Also Carl.  My brother in law, my sisters husband, stayed with them when he first came up from KY to work at Aramco.  I believe they lived on Sheridan Ave at that time.  They were good folks and treated him like family.  It truly is a small world, especially when you come up from west Liberty KY!  God bless you and all your family, you had a wonderful brother and a good kind uncle.  So very sorry for your loss.

We were honored to share in Corban's birthday celebration last year & the year before.  Praying for peace & comfort to his loved ones including his sister, Francis, brother, Carl, niece, Betty Greene, cousins: Clella Frisby Leggett, Ruth Frisby Bloom, Nancy Frisby Wright, & Joyce Frisby Mears & to all of his caregivers. He was truly one of the GREATEST generation. Love to all!!

I was so sorry to hear of Corbans passing.  I know he will be missed by all that loved him.  Rest in peace Corban



My favorite story my Grandpa told me was when he was in Germany. The Nazis shot up his truck and his squad had to bail out. They took cover in a ditch and laughed until they cried. They thought it was funny that the guy wasted all his bullets on the truck and didn’t hit any of them. 

Being a close neighbor, I would check in on Corbin daily, shovel his sidewalk, share my garden tomatoes, and take him a home cooked dinner once in a while. He loved garden fresh tomatoes! In the Summertime he would sit in the front yard and read. Anytime he saw me he wanted me to come over sit down and talk. Here is one of my memories.  So there was this pesky raccoon getting in his garage, he caught it in a have a heart trap, so he calls me over, “Looky here what I caught!”. I said, “Corban I can take it up to the park and let it go.” With that he goes in the garage, gets in a drawer, and pulls out a rusty old what I thought was a BB gun. Nope is was a .22 caliber pistol. I said Corb, what are ya going to do with that? His reply, “Fix the problem”. Bang! Problem solved, he said. Him and Helen were the best neighbors anyone could have. They are greatly missed.

Corban was such a good person.  He was so kind and thoughtful.  My mom, Martina, loved him and he took such good care of her when she became ill.  They visited us often in North Carolina and I loved having them.  We always stopped to see Corban every Sept. when we visited Middletown.   Wes and I am so sorry about his passing but thankful that he had a long life.  He loved to hunt and fish and he loved people.  He shall forever live in our hearts.  Beverly and Wesley

The last time I saw Corban was at a birthday party for him a couple of years ago.  I wanted to talk to him about his military service but he was more interested in talking to me about mine.  He made me feel special even though he was the war hero.  That's how he was - kind and thoughtful of others.
