

David G. Kienlen, age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose strength and steady presence touched everyone who knew him.
He was born in Lubbock, TX, the son of Rodney Thomas Kienlen and Mary Nell (Lebus) Kienlen. After moving to Ohio as a teenager, David graduated from Miami University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. He found deep joy in watching his family grow and took great pride in being a father. David served as a boy scout leader and soccer / baseball coach. He had a strong love of the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and camping. He was extremely mechanically inclined and had a lifelong passion of working on and racing cars. He spent his time solving sudoku puzzles, reading, following his favorite sports teams, as well as being an expert pool player. David especially loved playing with his grandson, Tommy.
David is survived by the mother of his children, Patricia Kienlen; son, Brian (Briana Czatt) Kienlen; daughter, Carrie (Will) Parsons; grandson, Thomas Parsons; brother, Robert (Tamara) Kienlen; and sister, Joanie Kienlen.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his grandson Franklin David Parsons.
