

David Lawrence Reed, a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend, passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on March 3, 1970, in Middletown, OH to Leonard and Diana Reed. David's life was full of love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors.
David’s family was the pride and joy of his life. He is survived by his wonderful wife, Missy Reed, with whom he shared 16 years of marriage filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support. Together, they created a home where family was always at the heart. David was a devoted father to his sons, Michael Green and his wife Tabitha, and Bradley Green and his wife Brittany. He found immense joy in his role as Pap to his seven grandchildren: Claira, Loren, Mason, Matthew, Justin, Luke, and Sophia, who brought endless light into his life.
David's legacy extends beyond his immediate family. He is survived by his mother, Diana Reed; brother, Brian Reed; loving uncle, William Apgar; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Charlean Armitage as well as his sister-in-law, Mindy Rose. He also leaves behind his niece, Hayley Reed, his nephew, Blake Rose and many other loving family members and friends. His family remembers him as a man who cherished every moment spent together, always with a smile and a hearty laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard.
A true outdoorsman, David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. David was known for his infectious laughter, and his ability to see the humor in life’s challenges was an inspiration to those around him. He was also known for his firm belief in Bigfoot, often delighting friends and family with tales of his adventures and theories, which brought him great joy and laughter.
In this time of sorrow, may we find comfort in the memories we shared and the love that will forever bind us. David Lawrence Reed will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be 10:30 am-12:30 pm on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 pm. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
