Donald Lee Philpot, age 83, of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Atrium Medical Center under Hospice care. He was born in London, KY, the son of Hurbert and Ruth (Donnely) Philpot.
Donald was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He spent 18 years caring for his wife, Phyllis. Donald enjoyed boating and loved his Trans-Am’s. He was an avid, UK, Bengals and Michigan Wolverine fan! He was a toolmaker for Dayton Progress and retired from Ultra Punch. Donald received his Master Mason degree in September 1981 with Jefferson Lodge #90, Scottish Rite 32nd degree and a member of the Antioch Shrine Clown Unit.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis in 2014 and son, Vincent Philpot in 2008.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Tracey Dykes; grandchildren, Shawn Andrew Dykes, Scott Alexander Dykes, Damon Philpot, Angelica Philpot; brothers, Earshel (Brenda) Philpot and Harold Philpot.
Visitation will be 11:30 am-12:30 pm, Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. Masonic Services at 12:30 pm. A Memorial Service will immediately follow with his nephew, Daron Harmon officiating. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
