She was born February 24, 1995 in Kettering, Ohio, the daughter of Rick and Patty (Bilich) Huehn and sister of Andrew Huehn.
Ashley was a graduate of Edgewood High School, Animal Behavior College, and Franklin University where she earned her B.S. Degree. Ashley attended graduate school at the University of Dayton, specifically working to complete the clinical mental health counseling program which would have included LPCC licensure. Ashley was a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of the United States of America and FFA.
One of Ashley's biggest passions in life was serving the underprivileged communities. Ashley was always one to help others when they needed it most. To do so, she worked full time at The de Paul Center, devoting herself as a program manager.
Ashley's lifelong passion included a love for dogs, dog training, and the competitive dog community. She began training at Middletown Dog Training Club where she participated in and assisted in teaching classes. She competed in 4H and later served as a judge for dog events. Ashley continued her journey by showing and hunting her childhood Treeing Walker Coonhounds: Ashley's Lunar Melody (Luna) and Buck Creek Pride (Pride) with family, friends, and at UKC events. At this time she began training her blind dog, Harold, and raising her best boy, I'm Pretty Aerodynamic (Aero). Ashley competed in many dog sports including C-WAGS, AKC Conformation, Rally, and Obedience, as well as WCRL Rally, and WCFO (canine musical freestyle). Ashley also taught many classes at Gem City Dog Obedience Club and judged competitions herself, being a certified WCRL and WCFO judge. As a teacher and judge, Ashley always gave encouraging and thoughtful feedback to others. Ashley was the recipient of many awards with her heart dog Aero. These awards included top titles such as WCFO Perfect Dance Partner and WCRL ARCHMX. At the time of her death, she had taken the love and bond she had with her dog Aero, and shared it with her newest dog, Teine Don't Fear the Reaper (Reaper). Ashley adored her dogs, much like she did her friends and family.
The bonds that Ashley made in life will be forever eternal, and live on through those that love her. Ashley is preceded in death by her grandparents Carl and Marjory (Halsey) Huehn, John and Amy (Morse) Bilich, and beloved dogs, Aero and Harold. Ashley is survived by her parents, Rick and Patty Huehn, her brother, Andrew Huehn, and her beloved dog, Reaper. She is also survived by her cherished family and treasured friends.
