Glenda Lou Peters, 83, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, in Naples, Florida. Born on July 30, 1941, in Middletown, Ohio, Glenda was the beloved daughter of Boyd and Jane Rupe. She was preceded in death by her parents and her devoted husband of 57 years, Bruce “Pete” Lynn Peters.
She had a long and successful career at Armco and AK Steel, rising through the ranks to become a respected supervisor. Glenda was also an active member of the Armco Women’s Association and proudly served on the Board of Directors at Mid First Bank.
Creative and talented, Glenda had a lifelong love of sewing and crafting. Another of her favorite pastimes was shopping—especially for herself and gifts for family and friends. No shopping trip was complete without a stop for a Diet Coke, a simple ritual she absolutely delighted in.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. A longtime member of First Baptist Church in Middletown, Glenda served faithfully on numerous committees and on the Board of Trustees, generously giving her time and heart to the church and community she loved.

Glenda is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Martin Lynn Peters of Aurora, Colorado, and Bruce Lynn Peters III (Holly) of Naples, Florida; her cherished granddaughters, Erica Peters and Samantha Peters; and her dear sister, Lana Ernst (Tim).
