James Herald

James Clayton Herald, age 72 of Middletown, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, September 22, 2025. He was born April 15, 1953 in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of Alex Herald and Rosalee (Mays) Herald.

James was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed playing pool and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jamie; brothers, Homer, AJ and Lloyd.

James is survived by his wife, Tammy; children, Artie (Debbie), Angelic (Tommy), Tamara, Jonathan; grandchildren, Gunner, Noble, Zoe, Elizabeth, Erica, Megan, Ja, Rodney, Brittany, Lily, Madison, Carmine, Isaiah, Jamie Jr.; great grandchildren, Ava, Trey, Raelyn, Jackson, Brenton, Paxton, Ezra; siblings, Pearl, Ardella, Wanda, Janice, Helen (Odell), Joyce and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 am-1:00 pm on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
