Jeff was a hardworking man who took pride in his work as a construction worker and concrete finisher. He was a man who understood the value of hard work and providing for the people he loved.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved fishing, hunting, and NASCAR, but above all else, he treasured spending time with his family. His family was his greatest joy, and the memories they shared with him will be cherished forever.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jeffrey Aaron Tackett; his sister, Carmen Tackett; and his brother, Johnny Tackett.
Jeff leaves behind his former wife and best friend, Tia Tackett, who shared his life and memories with him; his loving daughters, Bethany Tackett (Tyler Hays), Jade Davenport (Josh Davenport), and April Pierce (John Pierce); and his cherished grandchildren, Weston Hays, Tanner Hays, Zavier Hensley, Karsyn Davenport, Nolan Davenport, Wyatt Pierce, Aidan Tackett, and Isaiah Tackett.
He is also survived by his siblings, Sheila Tackett-Robinson and Larry Tackett, along with many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Jeff will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of the outdoors, and the love he had for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through his former wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and all those whose lives he touched.
Though his passing leaves a tremendous emptiness in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, his memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the countless moments his family will carry with them forever. Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00–8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 S. Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044.
Jeff will be deeply missed, forever loved, and he will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
