Larry was my first cousin. Although we haven’t spoken in a while I always think fondly of Larry. I remember when he came to visit us in Phoenix he had never had real Mexican food. He was mispronouncing all the names of the items on the menu and it was very comical. He was such a funny guy and has such a big heart. I will remember him always.

Today was a very sad day for anyone who knew Larry.   This song has always comforted me during difficult times.  I hope the same for you.

Larry was my first cousin.  We were a month apart in age, and used to be very close.  Unfortunately, Larry sort of isolated himself from many people, so I hadn't spoken to him in a few years.  The Larry I knew was strong, healthy, comical, intelligent, full of wisdom, supportive, a great problem solver, a lover of dalmations (Pepper), bowling, the Bengals, Gordon Lightfoot, and Genesis.  Larry always laughed and made everyone else laugh.  He came to visit us in Phoenix and, on his first trip to Arizona, he seriously asked me where all the horses and cowboys were.  

Larry - Your Phoenix family is devastated to hear of your passing.  I hope you are at peace now, my dear cousin/friend.  I hope you are happy and laughing with Pepper, Gramma and Papa, Uncle Jack, and maybe even Jerry.  Your absence has left a tremendous hole in the hearts of those who loved you.  You were loved by so many.  I know how much you loved your family.  I realize now that you were just in such a bad place, that you couldn't get back out.  I am so deeply sorry that I didn't know.  I hope you are now at peace. Baruch HaShem.  We love you and will always have you in our memories.  Until we meet again...

We had the pleasure of meeting Larry as a sales person at Feller's Farm. We soon realized that he was much, much more than that. Larry became a close friend. Larry was someone who was very caring, well motivated and honest person. Truly there are so very few times in life, that you meet someone who has an impact on your life you can call your true friend. Larry you were that person. You will never know how many lessons you taught us. Even in the end you were teaching us to always reach out to someone. We feel that we are better people just knowing you. We will always have a broken spot in our hearts. You will be missed. May you rest in peace.

We were saddened to hear of Larry's passing. We enjoyed sharing many holiday meals and family events together, laughing and enjoying each others company.  

May peace and prayer find you in this time of sorrow.

I had the pleasure of working with and, at times, managing Larry while we were at Nutro.  Larry wasn't a typical co-worker.  He was a friend.  Not just to me but to his peers and his customers.  If I had to describe Larry in one word, it would be passionate. Larry cared deeply for every one of his customers, and worked tirelessly to make them  successful.  With Larry, the relationship didn't end with the sale, it began with it.  I'll never forget Larry opening the door for everyone during a store call and helping carry large bags of food out to cars, even if it wasn't Nutro.  That passion extended to his friendships as well.  Larry never turned his back on anyone.

It breaks my heart to know Larry felt he had no one to turn to.   That level of hopelessness is unimaginable.  I pray he is now at peace, and pray for the family and friends he leaves behind.  I'll miss you my friend.

One word describes the 59-year life of Lawrence Alan Abramovitz – EMPATHY.  This word rolled off our lips as we reflected upon his sudden passing.  All through his life, Larry understood what others felt.  He connected to what another person experienced from that person’s frame of reference.  Larry easily placed himself into another’s position.  This is a remarkable trait – not commonly found. 

Larry’s understanding of what you experience was not superficial.  It was emotional, as well.  He became as sad or as happy as you did.  He absorbed your outrage and radiated it for you. 

Ultimately, Larry’s empathy coalesced into compassion.  This is far more than sympathy.  It is concern, kindness and consideration.  Larry was a force for good.  Larry’s empathy was more than affinity or rapport; it was engagement, sensibility, awareness and fellowship.

I grew up back in the late 80's / early 90's just my mother and I next door to Larry when we lived in Willow Creek Condominiums in Roselawn. This was back when he was selling Neutrogena. He was like an older brother/father figure to me...  He would always play catch with me, shoot hoops, toss football, take me to the park, you name it. He also had a Dalmatian named Pepper who I adored as a child, and we would always be outside playing with him...

As time went by, we grew older and we both moved away...we may have lost touch over the years but he will ALWAYS have a lasting positive impact on me. Thank you for everything Larry!! You will be missed!

I am truly honored to have met Larry. He always put me in a great mood and lended me some pretty sound advice. As a stubborn teenager working at my parents business (Feller’s), he had a way of getting me to look at things differently. 

You will be missed. 

I was lucky enough to work with awesome Larry also he always did a great great great great awesome job he was always ready to make sure you were motivated

I was lucky enough to have worked with Larry for several years.  There's going to be nuggets he taught a young guy like myself that will always shape who I am.  

I will never forget how he taught and showed me "how a good salesmam never sits.  They're too busy answering questions and helping people."  

Was a pleasure to work with Larry he always had wisdom for everyone and was a pleasure working with Larry. He will be missed!
