Linda Adele Waldner Johnson, age 83 of Middletown, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026 at Hillspring of Springboro. She was born on May 27, 1943, at Middletown Hospital, the daughter of Louis Adam Waldner and Dorothy Louise (Entwhistle) Waldner. Linda grew up in Middletown and attended Middletown High School. As a girl, she and her family were active at the First Presbyterian Church and loved camping and spending time on Indian Lake. After Linda married her beloved Dale, she cared for her family, raised and showed Standard Poodles, and worked at The Hamilton Post Office and UPS. She and Dale started out in Monroe on Britton Lane until moving next to Dale's parents on Route 4. Linda enjoyed cross stitching, reading, and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. Linda most loved spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, bowling, celebrating Christmas and boating on Lake Cumberland. After retiring Linda cared for her mother, Dorothy, and her beloved grandchildren for many years.
Linda is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dale Lee Johnson; her brother, Stephen (Jo Anne) Allen Waldner; her children, Mark (Kimberly) Allen Johnson, Matthew Allen Johnson, and Michelle (Robert) Diane Johnson; her 8 grandchildren: Eric (Kaitlin) Johnson, Evan (Barb) Johnson, Eli (Stephanie) Johnson, Nathan (Isabella) Johnson, Nicole Johnson, Lauren (Ryan) Johnson, Logan Johnson, Katelynn Johnson; and 7 great-grandchildren: Recie, Lucia, Maggie, Phoenix, Wilder, Everlee, and Mazzy.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Adam Waldner Jr. and Dorothy (Joseph) Louise Entwhistle Waldner Haas; and her brother, Larry (Rosemary) Adam Waldner.
Memorial visitation will be from 4-6:00 pm Thursday (October 15) at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice Care of Middletown Ohio.
