

Ralph H. Hesson, age 84 of Middletown, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born March 30, 1941 in Chesapeake, Ohio, the son of Ralph T. Hesson and Ona Mae (Singer) Hesson.
Mr. Hesson was a longtime teacher and coach in the Middletown City Schools. He began his career as a physical education teacher, first in Cocoa Beach, Florida and then in Middletown, Ohio. Over the years he taught in Maple Park, Garfield, Sherman, Lincoln and Mayfield elementaries and finally at Verity Middle School where he taught and also coached, football, basketball and tennis. He also coached varsity softball at Middletown High School.
Ralph was a longtime member of Monroe Church of the Nazarene where he was active with children's Caravan, men's ministries, the church softball team and served on the Church Board.
One of his greatest joys in his later years was his grandchildren. He loved to attend and listen to all their sporting events and concerts. He followed their academic and vocational careers with great interest, and his presence will continue to be strong in their lives.
Mr. Hesson is survived by his wife of 49 years, June M. Hesson; three sons, David Hesson, Steven Hesson and Gregory (Natalie) Hesson; eight grandchildren, Mary Paige, Noah (Alexa), Braden, Connor, Miley, Cohen, Gage and Brooklyn Hesson.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Monroe Church of the Nazarene,400 Macready Avenue, Monroe, OH 45050. A Funeral Service will be at the church on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 11:00 am with Pastor Paige Graves officiating. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery.
