Richard Dale Ratliff

Richard served in the United States Army for 3 years. He retired from Armco after 32 years of service. Richard was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid softball player, playing until the age of 80. Richard enjoyed playing pool at the Middletown Senior Center. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Springfield, OH. One of his favorite things to do was to write inspirational notes to his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Ratliff; daughter, Suzy Kramer and great-granddaughter, Myla Gloeckner; siblings, Larry Ratliff, Donna Barker and Jerry Ratliff.

Richard is survived by his son, Scott (Amy) Ratliff; daughter, Terri (Greg) Schmitt; grandchildren, Jade Gloeckner, Josh (Myrandah) Couzins, Zach Kramer, Conor Schmitt, Ben Ratliff and Jenna Schmitt; great-grandchildren, Forest and Everest Couzins, Noah Gloeckner;

Richard has now completed his softball team in heaven, it's time to play ball!

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Woodside Cemetery Chapel, 1401 Woodside Boulevard, Middletown, OH 45044.
