

Ricky Hugh Tucker, age 72, of Middletown, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born April 12, 1953 in Indian Mound, Tennessee, the son of Bradie Tucker and Nellie (Milliken) Tucker.
Ricky graduated in 1989 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and was an Electrical Technical Repairman for Armco Steel, retiring after 30 years. He loved both playing and watching sports, as he embodied the spirit of camaraderie and competition that sports bring to life. He found peace in nature and love in the company of every animal he met. Ricky's passion for music was a significant part of his identity. Music was his refuge, his celebration, and his constant friend. He was famous among friends and family for the “Ricky Slide,” his dance move that never failed to bring cheers and clapping.
A lover of the great outdoors, Ricky found solace and adventure in hiking trails. His adventurous spirit was highlighted by his fondness for Key West, FL, a place where he and Pauline were married and made cherished memories while soaking up the sun and enjoying the vibrant local culture. For Ricky, the outdoors was not just a place, but a spiritual sanctuary where he felt most alive.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Sue Deaton, and brother-in-law, Kenny "Shag" Deaton;
Ricky is survived by his wife of 21 years, Pauline Tucker; siblings, Ann Tucker Williams, Yvonne Friday, Sheila Tucker (Chris Atkins), Darrell (Lorna) Tucker, Larry (Cheryl) Tucker and Leila Tucker Mitchell; uncles, Mitchell (Becky) Tucker, Justin Tucker of Tennessee; stepchildren, Chris (Bethany) Garrity, Kim (Chris) Amburgey, Seth (Raedene) Robinson, Lindsay Robinson (Rob Harper); step grandchildren, Aubrey, Caleb, Keira, Liam, Randy, Kyric; cousins and other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Middletown.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM-1:00 PM on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Barry Shafer officiating.
