Bob graduated from West Branch in 1970 and from the University of Cincinnati in 1975 with a degree in engineering, where he was also part of Triangle Fraternity. He worked for Armco/AK Steel from 1975-1992 and IBM from 1992-2007 as a project manager.
Bob was active in the Boy Scouts of America as a leader and trainer, the Masons (Jefferson Lodge #90), where he was a Past Master, and a member of P.R.O.M.I.S.E.S. Bob was an active and beloved member of First Presbyterian Church, where he sang in the choir and as a soloist, as well as served as a Deacon and Elder.
He enjoyed Camping, hiking and visiting state parks and meeting with his Monday Breakfast Bunch, and walking his dog, Rosie. He had a love of music, singing and playing the piano that he passed on to his daughter and now granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Bob Wagner.
Bob is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debra Cover; daughter, Kara (Matt) Miller; grandchildren, Melody; siblings, Diane (Rodney) Cooper, Jennifer (Tom) McDonald, Marc Wagner, Allec Wagner and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be 10 AM-12 PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church, 2910 Central Avenue, Middletown, OH 45044.
