Ruby worked as a teacher aide for 27 years with Middletown City Schools. After retiring in 1994, she enjoyed gardening, reading and volunteering at the Clothing Depot. She enjoyed traveling to such places as Egypt, Turkey, Greece, followed by Cancun, Mexico.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward McQuade.
Ruby is survived by her daughters, Diane Burnett of Middletown, OH and Judy (Mike) Harris of Trenton, OH; grandchildren, Eric (Susan) Boyd, Shanon Boyd, Jeremy Harris (Jennifer), Nick (Sara) Harris; great grandchildren, Zachary (Mollie) Boyd, Carson Boyd, Jillian Harris, Evan Harris, Grace Ruby Harris and Alaina Harris.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM with Chaplain Lisa Stephens officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
