

Virginia worked for the Middletown City Bus Station for 14 years and was the director of Middletown Pavillion for 25 years. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was one of her favorite charities. She volunteered for many organizations including the PTO, Special Olympics, Board of Elections and was a local chairwoman for the American Cancer Society. Virginia loved spending time with her family. Shopping was her favorite hobby.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bass Brandenburg Jr; daughter, Kathy Lynn Lykins; grandson, Ansel Cree Carroll; sisters, Sherry Dingus, Patty Butrum, Faye Pingle and Linda Sexton.
Virginia is survived by her children, Dennis (Debi) Cantrell, Randall (Patty) Cantrell, Diana Cantrell, Todd (Darlene) Cantrell, Tammy Cantrell and Lisa (Jim) Souders; grandchildren, Justin Hoskins, Adrienne Troy, Paige Robbins, Les Lykins, Victor Lykins, Robert Lykins, Randall Cantrell Jr., Jennifer Arbogast, Chris Cantrell, Cree Carroll, Brandy Carroll, Maggie Grant, John Shearer, Leslie Glover, Laurie Combs, Elizabeth Withrow, Nicholas Withrow, Garry Souders and Coy Souders; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, along with a special nephew Mark Brandenburg, and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be 10:00 am-12:00 pm on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 pm with Pastor Daniel Hidlebaugh officiating. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
