I painted with Aimee for several years. There are many things I loved about her. For one, she was an incredible painter. She was extremely funny to. She made you feel good just being around her because of her humor and encouragement. Her eyes truly sparled. She never complained. She was also incredibly interesting to talk to. She had been through WW2 and her stories were riveting. I asked her once if she would be a guest speaker in my book club to talk about her experiences in WW2. (We were reading a WW2 book) She said “no”😢 Maybe she was just shy or humble but I got to hear the stories. I really picked her brain. We love you Aimee, you will be sorely missed.
