Barbara Ann Wallace, 75, of Midland, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 29, 2019. She was born May 2, 1944 in Midland to the late Hershel and Pauline (Mason) Price.

She married the love of her life, Bob Wallace, on July 19, 1960. She and Bob owned a grocery store in Midland for many years where they created many friendships. They later transitioned the business into a church to serve the Lord.

Barbara touched the lives of all who knew her. She always helped anyone in need and made lifelong friendships. She was loving, joyful, and kind, and had a wonderful sense of humor and an admirably unique way of telling stories.

She enjoyed playing many games, but her favorite was BINGO. She loved the game and the friends she played with. She also enjoyed reading, shopping, watching her favorite westers and pastors on TV, and loved to write poetry and short stories. Barbara delighted in spending any time with her family and believed that family is most important, next to Jesus. Her love of family and the Lord will carry her memory always.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bob Wallace; their four children, Shan and his wife Diana, Scott and his wife Pam, Stacy and his wife Shannon, and Andy and his wife Mandi; sister, Sue; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. She loved and was deeply loved.

Services to honor and celebrate her will be held Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bartlett officiating.

Death is the heartache no one can heal,
Memories are keepsakes no one can steal. Beautiful memories are all we have left, Of the ones we loved and will never forget. Softly the leaves of memory fall,
Gently we gather and cherish them all.
Planted deep in memory's garden And watered daily with tears, Memory has a magical way Of keeping loved ones near.

We are so sorry for your loss, keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers.
With lotsa love,
The Dodson’s

Barbara and Bobby, Cookie and Jack, Marylin and Jamie! These young couples had so much fun together! There never was a time that they weren’t laughing, joking, enjoying each other and always doing something together. I was too young to tag along but I loved it when the girls would get ready for their dates at our house. The bedroom was full of fragrances (perfume, dusting powder and the forever lingering smell of AquaNet hairspray). These girls giggled all the time! They were a happy bunch and the guys were just as much fun! Barbara was a genuine lover of life and good times. This is what I remember. I never saw Barbara mad, upset or unkind. I loved her and I love her memories. God Bless Her Precious Family!

Bobby and family,
No words can say how sorry I am to find that we've lost Barbara.
We spent many hours together when we were young. She was my first friend and we remained that way for the last 69 years. You and Barbara, Cookie and Jackie and James and I had a wonderful youth and many many happy times together. It is sad that we haven't seen each other for such a long time. Life tends to keep us so involved making a living and raising a family that we loose track of each other but we never forget. She has been on my mind for the past year and sadly I didn't get to catch up. We moved to Granbury and this has taken most of my energy and time. I am thinking of all of you and praying for your comfort. Lots of love.
