Betsy was born in Fort Ord, California on February 8, 1952. She graduated from Bryan Adams High School and attended Texas Tech University. She married Gerald "Jerry" Roy Vest, Jr. on August 20, 1988. They were married for 33 years.
Betsy worked as a sales associate for Dillards for 25 years. She enjoyed fishing, especially catfishing. Most of all Betsy loved being around people. Betsy knew no stranger and if you met her once you were her friend!
She is preceeded in death by her father W.F. Lagow, her mother Mary Lagow, Brother Reginald "Reggie" Lagow, and her grandparents.
Betsy is survived by her husband Jerry Vest, her sister Carol Hoegsveen (Spouse Dag), and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A visitation for Betsy will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy, Midland, Texas 79701. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM, 801 Andrews Hwy, Midland, Texas 79701. A reception will occur Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM, 801 Andrews Hwy, Midland, Texas 79701. A committal service will occur Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4616 N Big Spring St, Midland, Texas 79705.
