Bettie Jean Robinson

She was a loving housewife and devoted her life selflessly to her family. She always took care of those around her and would never shy away from lending a helping hand.

She met her husband Roger Robinson in Midland, Texas, and they were married on April 17, 1981. They spent many years with one another and together they created a loving family.

Bettie Jean loved taking family vacations, playing bingo, and playing the slot machines at the casino. She was filled with energy and fun, and no matter if you knew her, she would bring a smile to your face. Her devotion didn’t stop at her family, as she was a devout Christian. She was faithful to her church Crestview Baptist and Sheppard’s Chapel and knew her God would welcome her with open arms. She would listen to the church sermons everyday and would be joyful of the life she was living.

She is survived by her three sons, Leslie Taylor, James Taylor, and Alan Taylor; two daughters, Laura Wright and her husband Frank, and Stacy Barker her husband Charles; three brothers, Larry Pool, Bobby Pool, Rodney Pool; and five sisters, Shirley Ross, Martha Yarbrough and husband Terry, Glenda Ujhely, Judy Grissom, and Bonnie Browing and her husband Mark. She had seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Robinson; her parents James Pool and Annie Lucy Pool; brothers Lewis Pool, Jerry Pool, Jimmy Pool, Billy Rogers; and sisters Peggy Pool and Janet Mitchel.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Ellis Funeral Home from 3-6 PM on Sunday January 12, 2025. A chapel service will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM followed by a graveside committal at Resthaven Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers are Wyatt Barker, Leslie Taylor, and Jeremiah Grissom. Frank Wright, Charlie Barker, Justin Glenn, Ryu Glenn, Josh Grissom, and JT Glenn will serve as pallbearers.
