Bobby Faye Hobbs Virgin

Bobby Faye Virgin passed away at Cascades of Tucson on February 7th, 2014. She was born on April 15th, 1934 in Portales, NM to Chester and Jessie Lee Hobbs. She attended Portales Schools, graduating from Portales High School in 1952. Bobby earned a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern NM University and taught in Muleshoe, TX and Lordsburg, NM. She married Bill Burns in 1953 and lived in San Diego, CA, Amarillo, Abilene and Odessa TX. They later divorced; after she married Larry Virgin in Midland, TX in 1971 he preceded her in death in 1988. Bobby was Secretary-Treasurer at Innson Corp in Midland, TX for 45 years until retirement in 2004. She loved to travel – visiting all across the US, Russia, the Holy Land and Europe. Bobby was a Life-long Methodist and was active member in the Sky-High Emmaus Community. She moved to Clovis, NM in 2007 and to Tucson, AZ in 2010 to be near family.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carl Ray Hobbs; and her husband.

Survived by a nephew, Michael Hobbs of Tucson, AZ; a niece, Sandy Wilson of Waterloo, IA; several cousins including Patricia Thatcher and Marilyn Gardner of Portales, NM and Jessie Robinson of Tucumcari, NM.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
