He was born in Henderson, Texas, was the 7th of 18 children. His proud parents were Arelia Pettigrew Swindell and Hosea Swindell.
In 1953, he married Minnie Pearl Ransom and to this union they have five children: Shirlyn Kay, Pamela Jo, Gilesa Loretta, Caleph II, and Marshia Pearl (who preceded him in death).
Caleph worked as an aircraft technician in California for 25+ years and founded and pastored Miracle C.O.G.I.C. in Long Beach, CA.
On July 4, 2016, Caleph and Minnie celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. Caleph leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his loving wife, adoring children, grandchildren, one brother, five sisters, a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
There will be a Visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22 at Ellis Funeral Home. Services will be held at Alexander Temple, C.O.G.I.C. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11:00am. The interment will be held at Resthaven Memorial at 3pm.
