Carolyn Holguin Naranjo

She married Guadalupe Raymond Naranjo and they shared many wonderful years together until he passed away earlier this year. She worked throughout her life as a cosmetologist and child caregiver. Carolyn enjoyed hiking, traveling and exploring Carlsbad Caverns in her youth. As she got older, she would spend time crafting, baking and anything to do with spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching the Cowboys with her husband and after he suffered his stroke, she lovingly took care of him.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Frankie Wally Lara of Minonk, IL and Tony Lee Lara of Kermit; mother, Alicia Crabtree; sisters, Sally Armstrong, Dorothy Holguin and Teresa Briones; eight grandchildren, Kristin Lara, Ryan Lara, Brandon Lara, Lisa Lara Espinoza, Tierra Lara, Abigail Lara, Joseph Lara and Andrew Lara; and seven great grandchildren, Ariel Perez, Rylie Perez, Elijah Pineda, Isaiah Pineda, Amaliyah Espinoza, Olivia Espinoza and Sophia Espinoza.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Raymond Naranjo; father, Guadalupe (Wally) Holguin; and uncle, Joe Fierro.

A public visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home, 4616 N Big Spring Street, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
