Charles T. Hertel

He was born in Knox County, Texas on June 29, 1927. Charles served as a PFC in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1946. He graduated from Benjamin High School in Benjamin, Texas.

He worked as a Distribution Clerk for many years for El Paso Natural Gas Co. in Jal, New Mexico. Charles was a Christian and attended the West Kentucky Baptist Church in Midland, Texas.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Walter R. Hertel and Elnora A. Hertel; as well as his brother, Donnie Hertel.

Charles is survived by his brother, Walter Hertel of Munday, Texas; sister, Rosellen Albus of Lubbock, Texas; daughters, Melanie Dawn Heaton, Faith Ann Auburg and husband Randy of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Jeff Donnell and Ashley Auburg of Midland, Texas, Kyle Auburg of Conroe, Texas; six great grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2014 at McCauley Smith Funeral Home in Munday, Texas. Graveside services will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Benjamin Cemetery in Benjamin, Texas.
