Cheryl Gaye Nunley Dawson

Cheryl was born in Midland, Texas on June 14, 1947. She graduated from Colorado City High School in 1965. Then went on to Business School in Fort Worth where she met and married Charles Henry Dawson III. They had one son together, Carter Dawson. Cheryl moved back to Midland in 1974, where she worked in the Petroleum Industry up till the mid 90’s. Cheryl worked at Midland Map Company up until her last days with us.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, B.J. Nunley; grandparents, Jim and Earnestine Hayes, Porter Dean and Ethel Nunley; uncle, Joe Hayes; aunt, Nell Carter; and many more family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Jean Nunley; aunt and uncle, James and Jimmie Currie of Garden City, Texas; aunt, Maxine of California; son, Carter Dawson and wife Tina; three grandchildren, Hailey Dawson, Casey Dawson, and Ethan Dawson.

A visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
