Claude William Zundel, 79 of Midland went home on June 5, 2018.
Claude was born on July 16, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri to Aubrey Claude Zundel and Norma Marie Brine. Claude joined the navy at the age of 15 and served during the Korean War. After returning to St. Louis, he worked for Joy Manufacturing and Security Fire Door while attending machinist trade school where he obtained a journeyman credential. He was most proud of his work on the St. Louis Arch. Claude rejoined the U.S. Navy as a 1st class Reservist Seabee while working for Department of Defense. He also took time to be a Scout Master in the Boy Scouts.
Claude is preceded in death by his second wife Margaret Mary and his brother Vernon Zundel.
He is survived by his daughter Judy Goodson; granddaughter Allana Burnette; great granddaughters Paris and Penney all of Deary, Idaho and his sister Audrey Clair of Fallon Missouri.
There will be a mass held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 8, 2018 at St Stephen’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helping Hands of Midland at 1301 Brinson, Midland, Texas 79703.
