Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 21, at Midland’s Horseshoe Arena, with Pastor Travis Reynolds of IFC Seminole officiating.
Cody was born on February 20, 1980, in Midland, Texas, to Robyn Sanders and Mark Crossland. He graduated from Lee High School in 1998. In 2007, Cody married the love of his life, Shellie. Together, they lived a full and vibrant life with Cody’s beloved dogs Baby Lord and Cooper King. They spent their days making memories and chasing their passions.
Cody was an accomplished musician and played in several successful bands throughout the Permian Basin. He carried a spirit of excellence in everything he did—from his music and work, to his role as a father, and most of all, in his love for Shellie. Cody always gave 110%.
Cody, Shellie, and Cooper King stepped into the beauty of eternity together, along with their family members Tasha, Joel, and Kyndall Ramos.
Cody was preceded in death by his beloved dogs, Cooper King and Baby Lord; his brother, Dylan Sanders; his maternal grandmother, Sondra Bomar; and his maternal grandfather, Bobby Cantrell.
He is survived by his mother, Robyn Sanders and husband Chris; his son, Hayden Crossland; his stepson, Xavier Ramirez; his stepdaughters, Hailey Chavarria and Celeste Helms; his step-grandson, Jackson; his step-granddaughter, Toni; brother, Travis Reynolds and wife Mariah; sister, Amanda Brewer and husband Matt; uncle Steve Cantrell and wife Candice; uncle David Cantrell; cousin Jacinda Wilhelm and husband Jeff; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
