Daniel Bowen King was born on February 23, 1926 to Bertha and Erwin King in Duffau, Texas. He proudly served his country in WWII. He married the love of his life, Margaret Lillian Forman, on October 23, 1951. Three years later, he adopted his beloved daughter Bennie.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret; both parents; sister, Dora King and brother, Jake King.
He is survived by his beautiful daughter Bennie Lou Gooch and her fiancé Paul Lawson; granddaughter, Michelle Sutherland and her wife Nicole Fulton; great grandsons. Shelby Bryant Forman Sutherland and his wife Nikki Sutherland, Dustin Sutherland and fiancé Rachael Taylor; great great grandson, Michael Orion Forman Sutherland; sisters in law, Bernice Hoye and husband Charles and Bennie Buckner and husband Cat Buckner as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
