David when I met you, I knew within the first 5 minutes of meeting you that you were a good Marine, and leader. During our time in Japan you became a good friend of mine and to many others. You were always motivated, and strived to be the best damn Marine and person you could be and never settled for anything less then exceptional. Just as tough as your muscles were you were just as intelligent, funny, compassionate, and over all an awesome individual. Words cannot explain the impact you had on not only my experience coming back into the Marine Corps, but on the other Marines we call our friends from Camp Fuji. Know that as you are looking down on us all from heaven, we are looking up right back at you brother. Semper Fidelis. Rest In Peace David.

David and I had a whirlwind romance. We married quickly, and parted ways just the same. I thought that he would be better off with someone that could be there for him emotionally as I could not. He had so much drive to be the best, and he was highly competitive in everything he did. We always were with each other, like a little inside game we shared. I loved him then, now, and forever. He will always occupy a special place in my heart. I am very sorry that he is no longer with us, but at ease that he is no longer in pain and sadness. Because now he is in the loving arms of our lord, and family passed. My sincere condolences to the Flores family: Ramiro, Elodia, Mark, Devin, friends and loved ones. May you hold tight and cherish happy memories of David as an intelligent, fun loving, funny, talented, amazing young man that he was as a Son, Brother, lover, and friend.
RIP David, I will always remember.

I met you as a young Marine and saw you progress into a leader in just the 1 year I was with you. Thank you for all the memories. We'll all miss you.
