Della Henry

Della Henry, age 81, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in San Angelo. She was born on May 11, 1944, in Big Spring, Texas, to the late Anthon and Linnie (Coomer) Hall.

Della was a kind and loving woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. She grew up in Midland, Texas, and worked throughout her life in various roles. A talented seamstress, Della also worked as a nurse’s aide, and later, she became the manager of both Winchell’s Donut Shop and Allsup’s Convenience Store. In her later years, she enjoyed crocheting and sharing her creations with family and friends.

Above all, Della cherished her family and her faith. She was deeply devoted to the Lord, and her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was immeasurable. Della was also a beloved member of her community and will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone she encountered.

Della is survived by her sons, Levi Mark Woodruff and wife Melissa of Odessa, and Christopher Lance Woodruff and wife Elizabeth of Midland; daughters, Patricia Rhodes and husband Jerry of Moran, Texas, and Lanett Irene Henneke and husband Robert J. of San Angelo; brother, Eddie Hall of Midland; sisters, Dorothy Aguilar of Stephenville and Joyce Hunter and husband Mark of Lipan; as well as 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and her cherished Chihuahua, Baby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ray Henry; her son and daughter-in-law, Arthur Leroy Woodruff and LuAnn; her son, Laddy Mack Woodruff; her sister, Mary G Ruben; and two grandsons, Daniel Ray Johnson and Ethan Hawke Woodruff.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by a graveside committal at Resthaven Memorial Park.
